What to do with the ink ribbon of a typewriter when not in use?

I have an old Olympia manual typewriter and I have a universal ink ribbion and every night I roll it up and put it in a bag Placticamos but it takes time to roll up and stuff so I want to know if I leave it there overnight will dry?

what is a typewriter? Is that, as a chisel and hammer? Just kidding. If you use frequently do not think you need worry. If you're going to let this thing sit around a typewriter for an extended amount of time, should PROBally wound. I have never used a typewriter, so I'm almost guessing.
