Can a Brother drum unit is repaired or cleaned?

3 months ago I bought the drum unit not for my brother MFC 4550 printer and is the bad impression now. I see the lines and not light print on one side? How do I fix?

You may want to check first and see that the toner cartridge good reputation is in order. Many times it can be no toner cartridge and drum. You may have accumulated some toner inside the printer / rollers. Clean roller printer that can be done with an air can that be done for printer / computer components. If all these do not succeed, then you just might have a defect OEM drum unit and you may want to see if it can be replaced by the company it bought. I hope that helps.
