What is a better race to enter a medical transcriptionist or a medical coder?

I wonder what are the pros and cons of both races. Which is more difficult, more stressful, you can get your foot in the door faster, which one is in more demand? paid more? so we can do, both from home? I'm trying to decide which field to enter.
