Thermal Print

Does anyone know if you can print a thermal printer in a blank DVD inkjet printer?

My wife accidentally thermal printer DVD-R purchased from an online site and already sent the packet. I was wondering if the DVD is still turn to look good when printed on an inkjet ink? I do not think that the site work for me to correct this problem until I received the first item. If anyone knows, please let me know. I want to know if I can save this error. >.>;

The ink will not adhere properly.
