How long should a backup tape Super DLT terrabytes past and how much of the data is much?

Monthly rotating tapes get used 12 times a year. Most 2 years old and have a backup from 2.5 terabytes of data. In most of them have used about 30 times each. I wonder if I should get new tapes? These are strips of 320Gb (SDLT1-320). My backup is about 250GB per backup and is overwritten every time. The count of tuberculosis is the amount of data has been written on the tape in their lifetime. Does that help? Thanks PK

In our company we try to use it 25 times max.) (edit it doesn't matter if you use 80% of the tape, or only 10%. every time you use the tape that is overwritten the same physical piece of tape ...... 2 Years/24 or 25 is used much
