What is the difference between the Canon Rebel XT and the series of EOS digital SLR?

I'm using the PowerShot S3 IS Canaon at the time. It does the job, but now I need a little more after learning to shoot manually. To go further I wanted to know who was a better camera between the two.

The new Canon XTi has basically the same as the 30D automatic configuration and a substantially lower price! There is a manual configuration a few more that are allowed in the 30D, but for what lies ahead, I think it will be more than happy with the XTi. Also remember that the highest in the line of SLR you get Canon, which some have an inbuilt flash (you have to buy a flash) and the weight is much more. I do not like the feel of the 30D and up - is so strong my hand is tired after a few shots. The Rebel XT and Rebel XTi are made for smaller hands and are much easier to use if you are an amateur photographer. When considering a objective, I would opt for the KIT 18-55 lens and the quality of the lens that is probably one of the poorest of the Canons. Either get the 17-85L series aim (sometimes offered as a kit aimed at a higher price), or 28-135IS lens. I personally have the 28-135 and love it. It's a great day and travel lens, because the weight is reasonable, and has a good telephoto zoom on it. It also has image stabilization, I would recommend anyone who is the lens you get, as it reduces the "noise" in your photos. I personally just choose a Canon lens on third party lenses might be a little cheaper. Canon claims that their lenses are 100% compatible with its EOS SLR and lines, so if you ever want to upgrade your digital SLR, ensuring their previous lenses work. Check out their website for more information (I left at the bottom because it is a direct link to its line of SLR). Check out dpreview.com for more in-depth analysis and side by side comparison of the 2 for details. To purchase the camera I recommend you get in butterflyphoto.com. They have good prices on the cameras, but do charge more for the accessories to keep that in mind. And with an SLR camera, make sure you get a good report card - Many people do not understand that although you get a 1 or 2 GB, also has to have speed read / write speed card so you can keep up with the capabilities of your camera. For accessories, including memory, check out bhphotovideo.com. I have used all the sites I mentioned and that are reputable and reliable.
