What makes the transfer roller to do in my Xerox 6200 Color Laser Printer?

Basically, I'm getting a notification that my transfer roller has reached the end of life and I was curious as to what he does, and whether or not important for me to replace immediately or can wait a bit. The prints (both color and b & w) seem to print fine as it is now.

For Xerox, I think the transfer roller is a roller magnetic or sticky, which distributes the toner on the drum, which then puts the toner on paper. If the prints are good after replacement can wait. It's not something that suddenly breaks or runs out of anything except toner. It is a wear item that gradually deteriorates with use. If you're happy with your prints, then you do not have to replace it.
