Design
Priced at £ 480, the new HP Color LaserJet 3600n is small, weighs 27kg and has deep handholds, so a person can carry easily. At 15.7 x 15.7 x 17.7 inches (AAP), this laser printer can easily fit into a busy home office or individual office in a large company, if you need this level of speed and paper capacity.

Its simple design makes jam-cleaning and maintenance hassle. However, the wall and the hinges do not seem to be too strong. It can be setup as standard applicable to its class of printers, and network installation routine so Fully automatic.

Paper Handling
The HP Color LaserJet 3600n offers high speed performance, with an engine rated 17 pages etc. HP has also included an Ethernet connection for easy sharing on a network.

However, the main paper tray feels a little unstable and not has nothing to stop him when he left, so users must be careful not to fall. The role of paper length and width guides are easy to adjust. The printer has a 100-sheet auxiliary power, plus 250-sheet tray closed. You can increase this number to 850 by adding a 500-sheet drawer for $ 280.

Features
A two-line backlit LCD screen of the 3600n upper panel shows a full set of menus, so it is easy to navigate with buttons to move through menus, select items and backtrack.

This printer comes with 64 MB of memory and, regrettably, can not expand that, or adding a two-sided, which makes expansion options very limited. If you need extra memory, then consider HP 3600, a model of £ 670 with two-sided printing and double the memory.

Performance
The 3600n prints black text at 13 ppm reasonable and color graphics a little faster, 13.5ppm. In contrast, the Lexmark C522n prints text at 14.2ppm and graphics at 12.3ppm. However, if saving money is your real priority, and do not print much color, consider Ricoh Aficio G700, which prints text at 12.1ppm but it misses the cut at high speed and graphics quality.

The 3600n user disappointed with their quality of printing. In some tests conducted by popular technology magazines, text looked gray instead of black, showed some roughness in large sizes, and loss of fine lines. This is also the case with some of the 4-point output, which seemed a little gray rather than black.

No color graphics and smooth shading ramps blockish transitions occurred. However, the printer performs the cut with precision color and detail. In addition, print photos grayscale very well, with fine detail and smooth shading.

Graphics are easily good enough for internal use, but is unsatisfactory for spread to major customers or clients. The most important issue in a series of tests was insufficient registration, with the colors slightly out of alignment.

The result was a significant difference between whites some blocks of color around some lines, and about one color text on a colored background. Thin lines also tend to disappear. Also, the colors tend to shift toward darker colors, losing detail in dark areas and making some colors are made of clay.

In general, the production of sufficient quality for text 3600n has a high for most purposes. Unless you have an unusual need for small font sizes, it is unlikely that you will print the text that the 3600n does not.

Lexmark's similar C522 sells for around £ 100 less and offers the same speed and better quality, though Lexmark's cost per page is slightly higher than HP and the difference can add over time.
