Maxell Data

I am holding DVDs that are labeled Maxell 4.7GB DATA 120 min video, but show 3.89GB free when in PC?
Are not they supposed that has 4.7 GB free space? maybe I can sue because I have in hand evidence.
real memory and memory efficiency are two different numbers. I can not explain why it is, but it's the same with any type of memory. For example, my iPod is a 30Gig but I can only use 27.4gig. No i dont think you can sue because that's just the way that memory works, the CD has the ability, but can not use all of it.
