What is the best to use slide film for portraits of people outside the studio?

I was thinking about using Velvia 100F for it. Now I use Fuji Superia Reala 100, but was looking for a slide film. Does it work with Velvia 50 people who are not Caucasian (I know by white people that makes the skin look red). Velvia 100F is good? Anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks!
