Driver's license?

I have a California ID and I'm planning to get a driver's license soon. I need to show my social security and birth certificate again? Or I can show my California ID. I lost my birth certificate, since then, and the need to get another, but I'm from Oregon. So take some time to come since I live in California now. Can anyone help with this question?



I would call the DMV and ask. I do not see why it should see your birth certificate again because you already have on file.
