If a check clears the bank, can the check writer to recover the money?

I'm selling an item on eBay .... a very expensive! A cashier's check was mailed to me and check my bank. Can the writer of the check put a stop payment or recover the money from my account? I'm really afraid I'm going to use some of this money, and then my account will be negative or anything. Especially after the buyer receives the item. Am I safe, and which cleared or should be worried?

What I would do is first confirm with my bank who have received a final payment of the beneficiary bank. Many banks make funds available to the depositor prior to receiving final payment. Secondly, I would call the beneficiary bank and try to verify that the check was "good" and who have made the final payment on the check (which will be notified of the investigation, so, hopefully, it keeps a copy).
