Are the bar code label and the EAS soft label and the same thing?

The barcode label is the label that the scanner in a store readings to get the price, so electronic article surveillance (EAS) tag is the tag that is deactivated after purchase so that one can passing through the EAS detectors at the exit without triggering the alarm. That's how I read my sources anyway. But they are one and the same thing?

No! on [EAS] is there only to fail to display and add to the store in many cases. The bar code or UPC is placed on the item by the manufacture and manufacturer ID and the price to pay.
